About Kiyana
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Utah. Unique from other massage therapists I also have a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology: movement and rehab with much of my career experience in functional rehabilitation. Everything in the body is connected, and with my ability to view the human body from both a relaxation and a movement perspective I am able to tailor my approach to your individual needs. I am passionate about promoting a high quality of life for all my clients. I also strive to create a nurturing environment by combining expert techniques with a compassionate approach. You deserve care that restores balance, enhances mobility, and supports your journey toward lasting well-being. Functional massage should not be brutal; it should be effective.
Outside of my practice, I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education and stay up-to-date on the latest techniques in bodywork and rehabilitation. I am dedicated to empowering you with tools and guidance to maintain your progress. I want you to leave leave each session feeling renewed and confident in your path forward.
When I am not practicing massage, I love spending time with my husband, Bridger and our two children. I am grateful for their love and support!
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about helping people! I originally got my degree in exercise science because I wanted to be able to help people, making a real difference in the lives of others. There is nothing more exciting to me than a client leaving a session actually feeling better than when the session started.
Why did you study massage?
I always knew I wanted to help people with their physical well-being, but it took me a few years to find massage. Ultimately I realized that massage is the real-world application of my education, passion, and career goals, all wrapped into one.
Why did you start your own business?
I spent years working in different spas and clinics. Each place has its own positive aspects, but these places frequently instruct their therapists to do what the industry calls a "fluff-and-buff" massage, where the client may feel refreshed but their session didn't actually do much to improve their physical state. I understand that this type of massage may be what a client wants at times, but I wanted to be able to use my education and experience to provide specialized and meaningful care to my clients. Thus, Evergreen Massage was born!
How is Evergreen Massage unique?
Evergreen Massage is unlike any other massage service in the area. 95% of massage therapists only have their massage school education backing their skills. With a bachelor's degree in exercise science, I apply my extensive understanding of the human body to achieve each client's objectives. Depending on the objective of the session, I work with my clients to establish goals and make plans with them to determine the best way to achieve their desired results.
